The Keys to the Perfect Hair-Stroke for Microblading Eyebrows
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow tattooing technique that uses a fine blade to create hair-like strokes in the skin, a hand tool with blade or machine can be used. The goal of microblading is to create natural-looking eyebrows that fill in any gaps or sparse areas. Microblading is not for everyone and really only looks nice on clients with thin sparce brows.
One of the most important aspects of microblading is creating the perfect hair-stroke. The strokes should be fine, precise, and natural-looking. Here are some keys to achieving the perfect hair-stroke for microblading eyebrows:
Use a fine needle. The needle used for microblading should be very fine, typically 0.18mm or 0.20mm. You get Flexi blades which means they have a plastic neck that allows the blades to slightly move as you work. Whether you use a U-blade or angled 9/11/12 or 14 blade doesn’t really matter it all depends on how you trained. The same results can be accomplished with any of those blades. Use the right amount of pressure. Too much pressure will create harsh, unnatural-looking strokes, not to mention scar tissue. Too little pressure will not deposit enough pigment, resulting in faded or incomplete strokes.
Work slowly and deliberately. There is no need to rush with microblading. Take your time to create each stroke carefully but light handedly.
Follow the natural growth pattern of the eyebrows. The strokes should follow the natural direction of hair growth in the eyebrows. This will help to create a more realistic look.
Space the strokes evenly. The strokes should be spaced evenly apart, about 1-2mm apart. This will help to create a natural, feathered look.
Use the right pigment. Try to end the hairs into another but not crossing over. The pigment used for microblading should be natural-looking to fade gracefully over time and more of a paste consistency.
With practice, you can learn to create the perfect hair-stroke for microblading eyebrows. By following these tips, you can create natural-looking eyebrows that will last for months.
Here are some additional tips for getting crisp microblading strokes:
Create a brow shape that is shaped to the clients face and liking. You should make sure your blade has ink on the tip before you slide. This will help to ensure that the pigment is deposited evenly in the skin.
Use a light touch. Too much pressure can cause the skin to bleed, which can make the strokes look uneven.
Work in short, smooth strokes. This will help to create a more natural-looking finish.
With practice, you will be able to create beautiful, natural-looking eyebrows with microblading.
